I agree, Conor tapped to a neck crank, but he shows a lot of courage against physical damage on the feet and on the ground, if not against fatigue..
By the way I was referring to GSP's idea of the three pillars of competing MMA, athleticism, technique and tactics, each one informs and enables the other, in that order. It makes a lot of sense. Conor let himself go.. Khabib is a great fighter..
If anything you are acting more like a fan boy, with this sense of certainty about everything. Thing is, I can argue with reasons all day, whereas you just get annoyed at anyone disagreeing with you.
Physically he looked as good as he ever has, and he spent most of the fight breaking rules, anything to win..So I have very little respect for him, but i do still think he's a good fighter. People were saying what great shape he looked in at the weigh in and how depleted khabib looked, but after khabib won people changed their tune. I think physically, Conor looked very good and I don't think this is a valid excuse.
If khabib had lost nobody would be saying any of this ****, and khabib would never in a million years get a rematch.
Nobody looks themselves vs khabib, people just have to make excuses for Conor getting mauled that way, mostly the same guys who were telling me I was an **** for thinking khabib would maul him and Conor would 'bounce his head off the canvas'
Firstly khabib destroyed him his gameplan was on point. While i thought conor would win, i also said it would be one sided one way or the other. Either khabib would do what he does and totally neutralise the striking and dominate with his wrestling or conor would take him out in the first 2 rounds by knocking him out. If or when they rematch I would still have the same view.
First round khabib took conor down and conors defense on the ground was better than i expected. khabib didnt really land anything because conor defended well but he still controlled the round from the top. However he was sapping conors energy and in doing so neutralising the striking and making it harder to land that big shot in rounds to follow. 10-9 round for khabib.
Second round was totally dominant from khabib who done better on the feet than i expected though i will say alot down to conor being fearful of the takedown which came anyway. I actually thought khabib was going to finish him in this round from ground and pound. 10-8 for khabib
Third round, my initial reaction that i gave after the fight was conor won this round and having watched it all again that opinion doesnt change. In fact conor is now the first person to take a round off khabib going by the judges (I disagree with some of the judges previously as i actually think tibua did as well). Good round for conor with some good kicks to the body without doing too much damage. 10-9 to conor
Forth round, khabib went back to the usual and dominated taking conor down and finishing him.
Regarding what happens next would I like to see a rematch of course though not straight away as I do think ferguson has to be khabibs next fight (though i will always be fearful of some **** happening like before, hopefully not). In between that conor to fight diaz in the trilogy now as apposed to later because we know it will happen again at some stage but now that poirer is out id like to see it sooner with him then moving on then to fight the winner of khabib and ferguson.
I would like to point out the above is dependent on whats happens next with nevada and what punishment comes and lets face it nobody knows. If lets say khabib gets a long punishment then they will have to have an intern belt with conor and ferguson being the natural match up. Its also important to note that the noise coming from khabib as recently as today is very worrying with regards what he will do following certain punishments that might be coming to him and his team mates. With him retiring from the ufc which essentially means hes retiring from mma as hes under contract, i dont think anybody wants to see that.
I dont think conor taking a round is a big deal because nobody really did **** that round, you could argue a case for 10-10 that round but since they never seem to give them i am fine with giving it to conor, but in the grand scheme of things it means **** all since conor didn't do anything with the round.
I'm not 100% against a rematch, simply an instant one, conor hasn't granted anybody he's beaten a rematch (like aldo), but he always asks for rematches when they lose.
Ideally i'd like to see khabib fight ferguson and conor fighting nate at 155 is definitely an interesting matchup that can go either way, but conor definitely needs to win a fight or two before he can fight khabib again, i'm not down for conor holding up a division yet again with undeserved rematches, like he held them with the belts.
But as you say, this is of course under the assumption everything works out okay, but with Khabib's latest post it's worrying, i can't see UFC backing down, and i can't see Khabib backing down because of his strong sense of honour, but i'm also not sure UFC want to lose khabib. He may not be the biggest draw, but he's certainly a big draw now, and i think removing any possibility of that rematch from conor will drive him insane.

You make a lot of strawman fallacies, for example what some random people said is irrelevant man, no-one here said that. Also, your respect for him as a person is also generally irrelevant to what we are talking about. I understand you think Conor was no different to how he has been before... that I can accept, whilst obviously disagreeing..
Poirer, aldo, holloway, diaz, mendez, alvarez, all low fighters? Your just a balloon and a coward, send me location
Also about La quianta Rick. Yes, he is a good fighter but he has no skills compared to the top 3(Khabib, Conor and Ferguson) That is what I meant. He is a top 10 fighter, maybe top 5, but really the top 3 is far above everybody else. The only way Khabib will have any challange is if he moves up to 170 to fight Tyrone or if he fights GSP at 155 or 170. I think GSP is a very hard match up for Khabib stylistically, but GSP might be weak at 155, but who knows. He walks around lighter than khabib.
Conor would smash anybody at featherweight and most people @ lightweight. I favor him also going in vs Ferguson. Ferguson wouldt be able to take Conor to the ground. That is why Conor would have a similar fight with Ferguson as with Nate. Ferguson cardio isnt better than Nates, it is similar. And no way Ferguson has Conors striking. But Conor has to be in it 100% cant be taken 2 years off and thinking he is the man. I think the only guy who can beat Conor is Khabib at the moment if Conor takes sh1t serious and trains more then do his boellsh1t business ventures. He has been going full ronda rousey for the last 2 years.
Also his name is i-aquinta, not Laquinta. I honestly think him and conor would be a good fight.
Not sure conor would smash everybody at 145, there's a few good fights for him he would probably win but can't be sure, like holloway, Edgar, Ortega... the 145 division has really advanced since aldo lost his belt.
I also think there's 2-3 guys who can probably beat him at 155, he's still a top level lightweight, just not the GOAT he thinks he is. You can't claim someone who beat mendes, aldo, alvarez, and poirer is a 'fake fighter'.. that's a bit silly gloo. He's clearly a top fighter.
As for emi, not even gonna bother to reply anymore, after claiming i make a strawman argument when you made the same argument one or two posts earlier (i was just responding) i just can't take your chit seriously anymore. Deal with my opinion or don't, i'm not too bothered

Conor has also progressed, not just the featherweights. Nobody at featherweight can hang with Floyd 10 rounds. Nobody can take Conor down like Khabib can. That is why he looked weak vs Khabib. But I think we agree on Khabib.
I just think people are underrating Conor massively after the Khabib fight and I think it is silly.
Yeah probly. There is a tendency to throw somebody under the bus after a loss in the fight game.
