Seeing how you have games under your belt since your posting, you've probably fixed the issue - could you please share the solution in case it was something specific?
Generally with such issues try clean reinstalling - uninstall, remove all game folders (back-up files you want to keep like saves/recs, etc.), install anew. Then let Voobly do all the things it wants to do (you'll be for example asked to install the latest AoT patch) and if you don't receive any errors in the process, you should be fine.
Next time also please post such issues to the appropriate forum - Technical Support - where it can receive proper and timely attention, thanks
When I talked to him, I told him to look at his Windows Firewall/Defender settings and add AoT as an exception. His game was working off of Voobly, so I suspected it had something to do with internet permissions.
