I was wondering why is everyone playing team random? I mean, sure, when you're 2k++ you usually don't want to have a civilization with a weak late imperial while your opponent has a strong one. But hey, I'm 14xx. At this level, the briton's treb bonus won't win me a trebs war alone, it's really more a matter of strategies / skills / execution.
Why do noob to decent players choose team random so often? Is it really to avoid a "civ win"? They don't know all the civs very well and since they'll have the same tech tree they'll know what strats are possible / the best giving the situation for their opponent? Or is it just because everyone else is playing like this so they choose this option?
I'm not planning the change the entire community with this thread, but I find 1v1 random matches usually more fun... so yeah.
